The commissions to the School Parliament in ELS “Acad. L. Stoyanov” are its operative core. The members of the commissions are one of the most talented students. They are chosen by the Parliament for one year and are active part of the planning of the school life, creating chances for personal expression and organizing of students’ manifestations, according to their interests. The commissions are:
Sports commission: this commission is dealing with the problems of sport, tourism and ecology. It is organizing (or is participating in the organizing process of) excursions, hikes, competitions, sport activities and forestation.
Commission of Arts: people in this commission are well known for their certain amount of qualities in Literature, Art, Music and Theatre. They are preparing festivals, celebrations of holidays, and other activities – musical, theatrical, literature and others.
Commission of Problems: this commission is organizing seminars or lections about prevention of harmful deeds (drug abuse, AIDS, human trafficking). It is an active part in settling arguments between students, between teacher and student and is observing the preservation of school property – everything about keeping the peace in school is a priority of this commission.
PR Commission: it is planning, developing and actually doing investigations, studies and is asking students about school life. The commission has connection with the media, other institutions or administrative structures.
